For Bridal & Special Occasion Makeup Clients
Proper preparation ensures your makeup applies beautifully, lasts longer, and photographs flawlessly. Please follow the guidelines below in the lead-up to your appointment.
Skin Preparation (1–2 Weeks Before)
· Exfoliate regularly (2–3 times per week) to remove dry or flaky skin
· Moisturise daily, morning and night, focusing on hydration rather than active treatments.
· Avoid introducing new skincare products in the 7 days prior to your appointment to prevent irritation or breakouts.
· Facials should be done no later than 5–7 days before your makeup appointment.
· Avoid sunburn, tanning, or heavy spray tans on the face close to your booking.
Brows, Lashes & Hair Removal
· Brow shaping/waxing/threading:
Book at least 3–5 days prior to allow redness to settle.
· Lash lifts or extensions:
Must be done 48–72 hours before your appointment.
· Facial waxing or dermaplaning:
Complete at least 5–7 days before to avoid sensitivity and texture issues.
· Avoid shaving the face in the days leading up unless this is part of your normal routine.
The Night Before
· Gently cleanse and apply a hydrating moisturiser or sleeping mask.
· Drink plenty of water.
· Avoid alcohol, heavy salt intake, or late nights where possible.
On the Day of Your Appointment
· Arrive with a clean, cleansed makeup-free face (unless otherwise discussed).
· Apply your usual lightweight moisturiser only — please avoid primers, SPF, or oils unless advised.
· Wear a button-up or wide-neck top to avoid disturbing your makeup when changing.
· If you have specific skin concerns, allergies, or preferences, please let me know before we begin.
